Medical Care, Travel Insurance & Emergency Support
At Rafiki Tembo Tours & Safaris, the safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority. While we take every reasonable measure to ensure safe travel—including experienced driver-guides, well-maintained 4×4 safari vehicles, and careful route planning—safari travel takes place in remote wilderness areas and on public roads where unforeseen incidents may occur.
We strongly recommend that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance prior to arrival in Tanzania. This insurance should cover:
Medical treatment and hospitalization
Emergency evacuation and repatriation
Trip interruption or cancellation
Personal belongings and luggage
In the event of illness or accident during a safari:
Our team will assist in arranging transport to the nearest appropriate medical facility.
Where applicable, we can help coordinate emergency evacuation services (such as air evacuation) through third-party providers.
Medical costs, evacuation fees, and related expenses are the responsibility of the guest and their insurance provider.
Rafiki Tembo Tours & Safaris is not a medical provider and does not offer medical insurance. We act in good faith to assist guests in emergencies but cannot be held responsible for the quality, decisions, or timelines of third-party medical services, clinics, hospitals, or evacuation providers.
Vaccinations & Health
Guests must comply with health and vaccination regulations required for entry into Tanzania and/or regional border crossings.
4. ITINERARY & OPERATIONAL FLEXIBILITY
Safari itineraries may require modifications due to:
Weather conditions
Wildlife migration patterns

Any adjustments will be made with the intention of maintaining or enhancing your comfort and overall safari experience.
5. SAFETY, RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY
Our professional, licensed guides prioritize safety, responsible wildlife viewing, and ethical tourism practices.
Participation in safari activities is at the traveler’s discretion. Rafiki Tembo Tours & Safaris is not responsible for losses arising from airline delays, visa or passport issues, missed connections, or other external factors; however, we actively assist clients whenever possible.
Liability is limited to payments made directly to Rafiki Tembo Tours & Safaris.

Events beyond our control (including pandemics, natural disasters, political unrest, extreme weather, or airline disruptions) may affect travel plans. In such cases, we will offer alternative arrangements, credits, or rescheduling options where possible.
