Local People. Shared Responsibility.

Your Local Safari Ground-Handling Partner

You know your clients. We know the places, people and practical details that bring their safari together.

Based in Mto wa Mbu, near Tanzania’s Tarangire–Manyara safari region, Rafiki Tembo is a locally owned team supporting travel agents and tour operators with Tanzania safari ground handling and coordinated journeys across Kenya.

Share your clients’ interests, travel dates and budget. We help shape a realistic route, select accommodation in the right locations, and coordinate guides, transfers and reservations. You receive a clear quotation with inclusions, exclusions and the details needed to present the journey confidently.

Every programme is private and tailor-made. Trade quotations are shared confidentially following agency verification and a discussion of your requirements.

From Your Brief to Their Arrival

Tanzania Safari Ground Handling, Planned Around Your Clients

A well-run safari depends on the details between the highlights: a sensible transfer, a lodge in the right location, and a guide who understands the guests. We help you connect those details into a journey that works on the ground.

Itinerary Design & Local Advice

We turn your brief into a realistic route, considering seasonal wildlife movements, driving times, guest interests and budget. Each proposal explains the choices behind the journey.

Accommodation & Reservations

We recommend lodges and camps by location, comfort and suitability, then check availability and coordinate reservations. Room types, meal plans and booking conditions are clearly set out.

Private Vehicles & Guiding

Private safari vehicles and guides are arranged around the agreed programme. We discuss party size, luggage, language requests and guest needs before confirming the arrangements.

Transfers & Travel Connections

Airport pickups, airstrip transfers and onward connections are coordinated with the safari route. For Tanzania–Kenya journeys, we plan border handovers and explain the practical travel arrangements.

Guest Support on the Ground

Our team stays involved during the trip, coordinating with guides and accommodation providers. If timings or arrangements change, we help resolve the issue and keep your agency informed.

Clear, Confidential Trade Quotes

Receive quotations with the travel dates, party size, accommodation basis and included services clearly stated. Exclusions and optional experiences are identified so you can present the trip accurately.

A programme agreed together. Every quotation specifies the services included. Accommodation and flights remain subject to availability until confirmed, and additional activities are arranged with your approval.

Working Together

Questions from Our Travel Partners

From your first enquiry to your clients’ arrival, clear expectations make a better partnership. Here is how we approach trade enquiries, private safari planning and local support.

Talk to Our Trade Team
How do we become a Rafiki Tembo trade partner?

Send your agency name, country, website, business email and the types of safaris your clients need. Our team will review your details, discuss how we can work together and agree the next steps before sharing confidential trade information.

Do you provide confidential agent net rates?

Yes. Following agency verification, we prepare confidential net quotations for the agreed programme. Rates depend on travel dates, party size, accommodation and included services. Each quotation states its validity, inclusions and exclusions; trade rates are not published on this website.

Which destinations can you arrange?

We arrange private safaris in Tanzania and Kenya, including combined itineraries and Zanzibar extensions. For cross-border programmes, we explain the route, transfers and operational arrangements in the proposal.

Are your safaris private or shared departures?

Our safaris are private and tailor-made. We work with couples, families, friends and organised private groups travelling together. We do not offer joining safaris that combine unrelated travellers into a shared departure.

What information do you need for an accurate quote?

Please share travel dates, number of guests, children’s ages where relevant, preferred room arrangements, budget range and accommodation style. Include arrival and departure points, key interests, language preferences and any mobility or dietary requirements that affect the arrangements.

How is guest communication handled during the safari?

Before arrival, we agree the communication arrangements with your agency. Our local team coordinates with guides and accommodation providers, supports guests during travel and keeps your nominated contact informed of material changes. Branding and client communication expectations are discussed before confirmation.

What are your payment and cancellation terms?

The applicable deposit, payment deadlines and cancellation conditions are provided with your quotation or booking agreement. Flights, accommodation and other supplier services may have separate conditions. Please review these before confirming a booking or making promises to your clients.

Can we review your credentials before working together?

Yes. Request our current company credentials and relevant supporting documents as part of your partner review. Our team can clarify licensing, memberships and the operational arrangements relevant to your proposed programme.
